Excellent clear view of the Antietam National Cemetery looking down on it from above. Photo is by William H. Tipton of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The view was taken from the roof of the cemetery gatehouse looking south toward the large soldier monument which stands in the middle of the cemetery.
Image is mounted on heavy cream-colored stock with “ANTIETAM SOLDIER’S NATIONAL CEMETERY” at lower right.
Reverse is decorated with a large drawing of a canteen surrounded by Civil War related photographic products offered by Tipton. [ad] [ph:L]
