Cabinet card size is approx. 4 ¼ x 6 ½ inches and is of heavy ivory stock. No markings on reverse.

Image features an outdoor scene of eight Civil War veterans having a picnic along a stream. They are dressed in civilian clothing, and some of their coats and hats are lying on the table which is covered with a checkered table cloth.  There is a banner to the left with the G.A.R. symbol and the words, “WELCOME”.

Contrast is very good and image is clear. Edges have light wear and surface dirt.  [sm][ph:L]
