Very nice bust view of an aging Jefferson Davis. He wears the usual dark suit with jacket, vest and bowtie.

Contrast and clarity are excellent. Mount is in good condition. Paper has light surface dirt and a bit of a toned shadow at bottom. Very bottom of the mount has printed “JEFFERSON DAVIS.”

Reverse is blank.

Apart from his service as Confederate President from 1861 to 1865, Davis also served the United States as an officer in the Mexican War from 1846-1848, as Secretary of War under President Pierce and as a United States Senator. [ad][ph:L]
