Carte de viste image of a John Rodgers-like statue. Subject is a man in torn and worn clothes apparently on a journey. Image is clear with good contrast; just some light foxing. No photographer’s backmark. Old pencil on back reads, “A Disgusted Secesh leaving Dixie.”
Searches for artwork and statues with this title gave no results. Although this is similar to John Rodgers’ work, none of his pieces resemble this statue. [jet] [ph:L]
