CDV in horizontal format showing some of the ruins of Richmond in 1865. This is most likely in the Shockoe Bottom section of the city. Seven individuals pose amid the collapsed brick structures. One boy leans against a lamp post, front and center in the image. Photo is clear with slightly light contrast. Mount remains in good condition. Photographer’s backmark, Joseph Ward, Boston.
