Bottom has caption of “GENERAL ROBERT E. LEE” with publication information for 1866.
Clarity is good but the paper and mount are toned
Reverse has photographer’s imprint for ALEX. GARDNER… WASHINGTON, D.C. There is also a green 2 cent tax stamp with collector information in pencil.
