Reverse has a printed caption stating that the photographed painting was by an artist named W. B. Cox and is offered for sale by “W. D. SELDEN & CO. DEALERS IN PHOTOGRAPHIC VIEWS, CONFEDERATE RELICS, &C, OF THE LATE WAR.” The company was located in Richmond, Virginia.
