Image is a landscape view of the grave of Confederate General Thomas J. “Stonewall” Jackson in Lexington, Virginia’s Oak Grove Cemetery. The view shows the Jackson plot surrounded by a wrought iron fence. One of the three stones visible is clearly marked “GEN. THOS. J. JACKSON.”

The clarity and contrast are good. Mount and paper are also good.

Reverse is blank but does have an old black ink inscription of “TOMB JACKSON” along with some collector information in pencil.

Image is from the collection of the late William A. Turner.     [ad]  [PH:L]
