Carte de vista of Lescene & woman. Full standing studio view well dressed in civilian clothes. Image is clear with good contrast. Identified on reverse. Photographer's backmark, Anderson, New Orleans. A 2-cent revenue stamp and pencil notes are on the back.
Lescene was a Corporal in the 4th Company. He was wounded in the left leg at Gettysburg on July 3, 1863 and captured by the enemy. Paroled in August 1863 and appointed as a Cadet in 1864.
