This is a carte de visite of "Miss Cornelia Talliferro, Mrs. Jack Mosby's Nurse with little Jack Mosby." Seated portrait with woman holding young child in her lap. Image is clear with good contrast. Corners of the mount have been trimmed. Photographer's imprint at bottom on front and with backmark, Brendann Bros., Baltimore. Revenue stamp is also on back. Comes with photocopy of same image in an album with the above caption written on the page.
John Singleton Mosby Jr., who like his father became a lawyer, and later worked for mining companies in the west, was born in 1863 during the war.
