CDV is a vignette bust view of Morrison in civilian clothes.
Contrast and clarity are outstanding. Mount and paper are excellent. Bottom of mount has a beautiful, strong period ink inscription that reads “TRULY YOUR FRIEND J. G. MORRISON.”
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for R. A. LEWIS… NEW YORK along with a canceled blue 2 cent tax stamp.
Also with the image is a clipped signature that reads “CAPT. JOS. MORRISON.”
