At the end of his three-month enlistment with the 18th, he enlisted in Company “E” of the 88th PA Infantry on October 15. He was promoted to Sergeant at some point and 2/Lt. on May 27, 1863. Booz was discharged for disability on June 20, 1863. He died on January 23, 1909 and is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, PA.
