This memorial image is a lithographed bust view of General Robert E. Lee in Confederate uniform. Paper image is gem sized and housed in a stamped brass decorative frame and then mounted to a full sized CDV mount with a printed false frame at center and a black border.
Contrast and clarity are excellent. Mount is good with minor surface dirt.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for WAMPLER & CO., LEESBURG, VA.
General Lee’s exploits on behalf of the Southern States bid for independence are legendary and need not be repeated here. [ad][ph:L]
