CDV photograph of the murderer of Abraham Lincoln in a seated pose with his chin resting on his hand. The image is pasted on a plain mount. A previous owner has written “J. Wilkes Booth” on the bottom in light pencil. The reverse is blank with no backmark.
The condition of this CDV is good although there is surface dirt present throughout. The image itself shows good contrast but some concentrated dirt spots appear in the upper left-hand corner. [cla][ph:L]
