Eppa Hunton (September 24, 1822 – October 11, 1908) was a Virginia lawyer and soldier who rose to become a brigadier general in the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia during the Civil War. After the war, he served as a Democrat in both the United States House of Representatives and then the United States Senate from Virginia.

This is a clipped image of Hunton in Confederate uniform. The image itself measures approximately 1.2” x 1.7” and clearly shows Hunton in double-breasted uniform coat with Confederate general’s collar insignia. There is a horizontal crease at the bottom of the image. This photograph has been remounted on a perfectly clean cdv mount. There is no back mark.  [jet][ph:L]
