This is a carte de visite is a full standing view of Shubrick in dress uniform. Image is clear with good contrast. Shubrick is wearing a full dress uniform with double-breasted jacket with braided epaulettes and sword belt. He has his hand tucked inside his uniform in a Napoleonic pose.

Typical ruled mount appears to be slightly trimmed at top and bottom. No back mark but a quick online search shows photos from the same time from Brady in Washington, DC. Pencil identification on back.
