Small oval image (1.25" x 1.5") of Lincoln pasted on elaborately embossed cdv mount, with images of an eagle, shields, flags, and laurel wreaths. Blank back with no photographer information. Mount has typical ruled border. Likely issued as a memorial image, after Lincoln's death.
Image remains clear and mount is untrimmed and shows no other issues.
The image was recorded on February 9th, 1864 by famed Civil War era photographer Mathew Brady. [jet][ph:L]
