Chest-up vignette view of Pickett in Confederate uniform. Contrast and clarity are very good. Image and mount has some light soiling. Corners of the mount have been trimmed and the lower edge under the photo is marked with pencil and old ink.

Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for E. & H. T. ANTHONY… NEW YORK.

George Edward Pickett (January 16,[1] 1825 – July 30, 1875) was a career United States Army officer who became a major general in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War. He is best remembered for being one of the commanders at Pickett's Charge, the futile and bloody Confederate offensive on the third day of the Battle of Gettysburg that bears his name. [jet][ph:L]
