Anna Swan, also known as the "Nova Scotia Giantess", was a tall woman who gained fame as a performer in P.T. Barnum's American Museum. Born in 1846 in Nova Scotia, she stood 7 feet 11 inches tall and weighed around 400 pounds. She became a popular attraction, known for her size and engaging personality. “The Tallest Girl In The World” eventually married another giant, 7 foot, 9-inch-tall Martin Van Buren Bates. [jet][ph:L]
