This famous image of General Meade shows a seated with plain backdrop. It is mounted to a commonly seen card with double gold bordering. Both the image and the card are in excellent condition with no damage and sharp corners and edges.
The reverse is clean, with a penciled “Meade” across the top. A stylized photographer’s back mark logo reads “Published by / E & H.T. ANTHONY, / 501 Broadway, / New York. / FROM / PHOTOGRAPHIC NEGATIVE / in / BRADY’S / National Portrait Gallery”. Overall measurements are 2.4” x 3.95”.
