This image of General H. Judson Kilpatrick features the man in a standing pose with draped hat in hand. The photo is mounted to a common style card with a double line gold border. The image shows some very minor edge wear, mostly from the original cutting and mounting. The card is in excellent condition, with a clean front and sharp edges and corners.
The reverse is also clean, with a detailed decorative motif and a stylized logo in light blue reading “C. D. FREDERICKS & CO / 587 Broadway, NEW YORK. / 108 Calle de la Habana. / HABANA, / 31 Passage du Havre. / PARIS.” Overall measurements are 2.4” x 4”.
A divisive commander, and a fine candidate for the collector of Civil War photography. [cm] [ph:L]
