Oval image of Southern officer. Bust view of unknown officer in double-breasted frock coat. Image pasted on CDV mount with pre-printed oval "picture frame". Clear image. No photographer's backmark. Three cent Revenue stamp on back.
Pencil not on back from William Turner suggests possible Tennessee or Arkansas connection.
