Chest-up view. Confederate officer wears a 2nd Lieutenant uniform. Image is clear with very good contrast. Typical mount with border. Photographer's backmark, E. & H.T. Anthony, New York. Period pencil identification on back appears to read, "Col. Selby". There are several Selby's that were commissioned officers in the Confederacy.
From the late William Turner collection. [jet]
