This cdv photograph shows a three-quarter standing studio view of an unidentified Confederate Major. He wears a double-breasted frock coat with dark collar and cuffs. A single star insignia is just visible on the collar. Posing in Napoleon style with hand in coat. Image is clear with light contrast. Unusual mount with purple line border. Photographer's backmark, N. Routzahn's Temple of Art, Winchester, Va.
