Vignette CDV of an unidentified Navy officer. He wears a dark double-breasted frock coat with shoulder straps. The rank field of the straps has a device at center but they cannot be made out. He also wears a dark military vest with a white shirt and dark bowtie.
Contrast and clarity is good. Paper and mount have light surface dirt.
Reverse has a photographer’s imprint for JNO HOLYLAND…WASHINGTON, D.C. [ad] [ph:L]
