This unidentified image has a modern pencil note on the reverse stating that it came from an album that had a connection to the Confederate navy.

CDV is of a young clean-shaven subject wearing a light-colored jacket with at least an 8 to 10 button front. Jacket has turned down lapels and large dark buttons. Beneath the jacket the subject wears a white shirt with a dark bowtie and a dark shawl collar vest.

Clarity and contrast are very good. Mount has been trimmed around the edges. Paper is good.

Reverse is blank but for the modern note mentioned above.

Image is from the collection of the late William A. Turner. [ad] [ph:L]
