Image is a chest-up view of a Confederate officer posed looking straight into the camera. He wears a light colored double-breasted frock coat and a goatee that is long enough to cover any collar insignia he might be wearing.

Contrast and clarity are good. Paper has light surface dirt with a water or ink stain next to the subject’s ear. Mount corners are rounded.

Revers is blank but for some collector information in pencil.

Image is from the collection of the late William A. Turner.    [ad][ph:L]
