CDV of an unknown subject in a cavalier pose resting one hand on the back of a chair while the other rests on his hip. He also stands with legs crossed.

The subject wears a light-colored shell jacket with cloth epaulettes and dark piping on the cuffs with matching light trousers and calf-high boots. At his waist is a belt with an oval plate but the contrast is not sharp enough to see the details on the face of the plate.

Contrast is light. Clarity is good. Mount and paper are toned with some light staining on the top and bottom edges.

Reverse is blank but for some collector information in pencil.

Image is from the collection of the late William A. Turner. [ad][ph:L]
