CDV is a full standing view of an unidentified Confederate officer posed with one hand resting on a high-backed chair. He wears a light-colored double breasted frock coat with matching trousers. A single bar of a 2nd lieutenant is visible on his collar.
Contrast and clarity is very good. Mount and paper are also good with just a bit of minor surface dirt.
Reverse has no photographer’s imprint. There is some collector information in pencil.
From the collection of the later William A. Turner. [ad][ph:L]
