Image is a vignette bust view of an unknown Confederate officer sporting a goatee and wearing a light-colored coat with a fold-down collar bearing the three horizontal bars of a captain.

Clarity is good but the contrast is a bit light. Paper and mount are good with very minor surface dirt.

Reverse is blank with some collector information in pencil.
