This cavalryman is posed with one hand resting on the base of a draped pillar.
He wears a dark forage cap, standard issue dark cavalry shell jacket with light-colored mounted trousers. He also wears his waist belt with rectangular pattern 1851 plate, holstered revolver on one side and an import cavalry saber with an oval langet attached to the guard on the other.
Contrast and clarity are excellent as are the card and mount.
