CDV is an unidentified bust view of a Union lieutenant or captain. He wears a dark single-breasted frock coat with shoulder straps that are barely visible due to the image being a vignette view.
Contrast and clarity are good. Mount is good but does have clipped corners at bottom. Paper has light scattered foxing.
