This neat image of two brothers standing in formal attire in front of a decorative column and sub-tropical backdrop is mounted to a plain card, with light wear along the top edge.

The reverse is penciled “Miss Mollie R Norris / With Compliments of The Detrickes / San Francisco / January 8th 1862”. A photographer’s label is pasted to the reverse and reads “WM. SHEW, / No. 423 Montgomery St. / SAN FRANCISCO.”  Dimensions are 2.45” x 4.15”.

A very interesting and uncommon view of life in the far West during the Civil War.   [cm][ph:L]
