This handsome carte-de-visite image features a young Union officer, wearing what may be Medical Staff Lieutenant shoulder boards on his Junior Officer frock.

The image is in fine condition and mounted to a plain card.  The card shows minimal corner and edge wear – it is also completely unmarked, save for an old inventory or catalogue notation written in pencil at top right (reverse side).
