Subject is standing at the position of “PARADE REST” as prescribed in Casey’s Infantry Tactics holding his musket with fixed bayonet in front of him. He wears a dark forage cap with the Company letter “G” above the regimental number “43” on the crown. He also wears a dark frock coat with accoutrements of waistbelt with oval “US” plate and cartridge box and sling with eagle breast plate.
Clarity is excellent. Contrast could be a bit lighter.
