This is a clear image of a Southern soldier posed in his uniform. He is seated with legs crossed and hands in lap. He wears a single-breasted jacket with button-down shoulder tabs and three-piece buttons. The buttons each have a touch of gilt on them obscuring their detail.

Photograph, mat, glass, and frame are all in fine condition. Housed in a fine thermoplastic case that has no chips or cracks. All in all, a very fine albeit plain, photograph of a Confederate soldier.  [jet][ph:L]
