Here we have a landscape orientation of two young brothers seated for the photographer. Each brother wears a large cravat, one dark and one patterned. The boy with the dark tie wears a light vest and shirt; the boy with the patterned tie wears a dark vest and white undershirt. These boys have a sense of style and their playing off each other denotes a sense of camaraderie. Both boys hold their jacket lapels while their hands are clasped together at the center.

This great civilian image comes housed with mat, glass, and keeper in a decorative leatherette case which has been repaired with tape. The tape is coming off of the binding and is somewhat unsightly, although easy enough to fix up. The velvet cushion is in place.

There is minor oxidation of the gold mat and to the image around the mat. It appears that some oil from apparent touching of the plate has caused some deterioration near the center of the image. There is nothing of note behind the image. [cla) [ph:L]
