Full standing view of a young musician wearing a dark forage cap with frock coat and light trousers. His coat bears the herringbone trim of a musician across the chest, and on each sleeve is a Veteran Service stripe. He also wears his waist belt and a light colored drum sling with drum attached. The subject is posed with his drum sticks at the ready.

Image has excellent clarity and the contrast is good.

Decorative brass mat and stamped brass frame are present and housed in a Union case that is in excellent condition and decorated with a geometric pattern on the exterior. [ad] [ph:L]
