This is a waist-up seated view of a young boy who is wearing a dark colored coat. He is holding a small black dog on his lap.
Image is clear with good contrast. Some very slight oxidation has occurred.
Image comes housed in full gutta-percha case, which is in very good condition. Case features an image of a stag on both front and back. Case is lined in burgundy colored velvet with an embossed design. Decorative brass mat surrounds the image.
This tintype was part of a unique collection of images that featured animals. [sm] [ph:L]
