Offered here is a 1/4 plate tintype image of armed and equipped Union soldier in full case.
Image is of a standing Union soldier posing before a photographer’s painted canvas backdrop depicting a camp with palm trees. Soldier wears regulation 4-button sack coat, infantry accoutrements, and is holding a musket with bayonet. He wears a regulation forage cap with insignia.
Good image in case with light wear. Hinge looks to have been repaired with old cloth tape. [jet] [ph:L]
