Offered here is a 1/4 plate tintype image of armed Union soldier.
Image is of a standing Union soldier posing before a photographer’s painted canvas backdrop. Soldier wears regulation 9-button frock coat and is holding a musket with bayonet. He wears a regulation forage cap.
Image is slightly dark but details remain visible. Buttons and cap insignia are gilted.
