This stereoview card features a dual view of a young child sleeping in the woods on a rudimentary hammock, mounted to a yellow card.
The card was published by “J. E. WHITNEY,” of “174 THIRD STREET ST. PAUL, MINN.” The title reads “THE (AB) ORIGINAL BABE IN THE WOOD.
There is some minor wear to the lower right corner as well as the upper and lower right. The edges remain sharp with minimal rolling. The reverse is the same yellow color, but shows moderate loss to the outer layer of paper from adhesive removal. Penciled notations on the reverse read “MMPF/05JLW/$250.00”. Overall measurements are 6.9” x 3.4”.
A very scarce card and image – perfect for the discerning collector. [CM][PH:L]
