This is an excavated chunk of a lead bar. These were sometimes used in the field to cast bullets. There are many examples that have been found that feature company names. This piece measures 3 ½” long and was cut from a longer bar. A portion of the company name is present, “JACOB”. Gray patina lightly covered with dirt. Unknown recovery location. [jet] [ph:m]
