Typical cannon ball for Civil War smoothbore artillery pieces in “dug” condition. This has a complete Bormann time fuse in place. Fuse clearly exhibits the timing marks and remains in good condition. Iron surface is solid with just light pitting. Some of the tin strapping is still adhered to the ball around fuse.
Recovered from Cold Harbor. Unloaded and safe. [jet] [ph:L]
