This wood stock consists of the butt, wrist and buttplate. The wood is dried and a small piece of wood has separated from the whole but comes with the item.
Visible at bottom is the mortise and screw hole for the trigger guard. The “US” mark on the buttplate tang is clearly visible and both screws are present. Plate is rusted.
Wood is dry and cracked but solid.
No definite location in Central Virginia is known. [ad] [ph:L]
