Excavated brass barrel from a single-shot Belgian-style boot pistol. Measures approximately 5.5” overall with the barrel measuring about 3.0”. Approximately .40 caliber.

All brass with rusty iron remnants of nipple and trigger. Brass has smooth brown patina overall. Tang on bottom appears bent. Stamped with a “G” and some dots on the side of the tang.

Recovered from Confederate winter camp near Fredericksburg, Virginia.  [jet] [PH:L]
