Excavated lockplate for a Confederate Richmond rifle musket.
Iron is pitted but has been cleaned and coated. Amid the pitting you can find “CS” with portions of “Richmond” on the front.
Hammer is present on the front. The sear, sear spring, tumbler, and mainspring are still mounted on the back. [jet]
