Offered here is an excavated 1808 pattern enlisted belt plate. The oval plate measures 59mm x 87mm.

Made of brass with one belt hook and two studs. Oval brass washers were peened onto the studs; one remains. Condition is excellent with a smooth dark green patina.

A very nice “dug” War of 1812 belt plate.  [jet] [ph:L]
