Standard regulation M1851 Officer’s sword belt plate measuring 2 inches by 3 ¼ inches with integral wreath, and although in relic condition, the stippled background and sunburst are still clearly seen.
Back of belt plate shows integral tongue with no bench number present.
Overall, a nice plate which has not been cleaned and still shows dirt from the recovery location of Orange, Virginia. [cla] [ph:L]
