Model 1839 cartridge box plate with central “US”. Plate has an attractive face with a nice green patina.

Reverse has 98% of the lead fill. Lead is pitted and both of the wire loops have rusted away.  Possible partial maker’s mark visible.

This plate was recovered by an older collector and relic hunter near Fredericksburg, Virginia.  [jet] [PH:L]
